As a man of his mid (to late) thirties the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES for short, is the console for which I have the greatest nostalgia. After the success of the original NES, the new, sleeker 16-bit console and its advanced graphics and sound managed to strike a perfect balance that appealed to young and older gamers with a variety of superb titles that helped it live surprisingly long into the 32-bit era. If you’ve got this far onto the Retro Sect website, I shouldn’t even really need to tell you about all the great SNES games, but you’ll never forget Super Mario World, F-Zero, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid etc.
